Golf’s Greatest Holes Series Two: Portugal premieres on Sky Sports on the 11th April@ 19:30 BST.

The seven-part series will feature some of the finest golf holes in Portugal, with the first three episodes focused on Paul McGinley’s second home, the Algarve. During filming in October last year, Paul and Chris travelled the length and breadth of the Algarve playing iconic courses such as Quinta do Lago, Monte Rei and Dom Pedro Old Course.

With the help of drone cameras and unique access to courses last year, they captured spectacular images of the Algarve golf holes that have hosted major championships as well as those that present a challenge to the everyday golfer. These will all be included across the seven shows that make up the second series. Sky Sports UK and Ireland will be screening the first episode featuring signature holes at Castro Marim, Pestano Gramacho, Quinta da Ria and Quinta do Lago South from the 11th of April.

“I’m so pleased Chris and I got to travel to Portugal for our second series, because I got to go back to some of the courses in the Algarve that are very special to me,” said Paul, a multi-winner on the European tour and successful player and Captain for Europe in The Ryder Cup.

Series title sponsor announced

We are delighted to announce that Motocaddy, the world’s biggest-selling electric trolley brand, has been unveiled as the headline sponsor of Golf’s Greatest Holes.

The series features Paul using the latest Motocaddy M5 GPS and M7 REMOTE electric trolleys, while co-presenter and keen golfer Chris Hollins carries the versatile HydroFLEX bag during a quick-fire golf trip across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

In addition to a ‘Brought to you by Motocaddy’ introduction to the series, there are short bumper adverts at the beginning, middle and end of each broadcast.

“We see Golf’s Greatest Holes as the perfect platform for the Motocaddy brand to partner with as we continue to expand our reach across the golfing world,” said Motocaddy Marketing Director, Oliver Churcher. “To have Paul and Chris using our latest products at some of the world’s most wonderful golfing destinations across Ireland is very special and we’re pleased to have helped them create a relaxed and enjoyable experience,” he added.

“I’d never used an electric trolley before this Series, but I was blown away by how easy the Motocaddy models were to use and technology available to help your game out on the course,” said McGinley, who famously sank the winning putt for Europe on his Ryder Cup debut in 2002 before securing victory as captain at Gleneagles in 2014.

“I really enjoyed using the latest Motocaddy products on some of the world’s best golf courses during the making of the series and I hope it encourages people to get out and make their own journey around Golf’s Greatest Holes,” he added.

“As an avid golfer playing off a seven handicap, I’m genuinely thrilled to have a globally-recognised golf brand like Motocaddy as the headline sponsor of our new Series,” said Hollins. “The brand’s products fit perfectly with the relaxed feel that we’ve tried to create and I couldn’t be happier with the first six shows from the island of Ireland. We hope that golfers enjoy watching it as much as Paul and I did making it,” he added.
